The correct use of vacuum bags includes the following steps:
Article preparation: First, make sure the items are dry and clean. For food items, they must be completely dry, otherwise the preservation effect will be affected. Before putting items such as clothes and quilts into the vacuum bag, the wrapping paper or packaging bag should be removed to avoid affecting the compression effect.
Placing items: Put the items into the vacuum bag as close to the sealing zipper as possible, but do not force large items in to avoid damaging the bag. Make sure that the items do not move in the bag to avoid position changes during the vacuuming process.
Sealing treatment: When sealing, make sure that the sealing part is clean and free of fibers or dust. Press the slide by hand and slide it back and forth at the sealing several times to ensure a firm seal. If you use an electric pump or vacuum cleaner to extract air, pay attention to continuous extraction and avoid pausing in the middle.
Vacuuming: Use a manual air pump or vacuum cleaner to extract air. When exhausting air, make sure that there is no air leakage at the interface, and continue to exhaust air until the vacuum bag is obviously flattened. For large-capacity bags, the vacuuming time may be longer, but there is no need to remove the pump and cover the lid halfway.
Check the seal: After the vacuuming is completed, check again whether the seal is tightly sealed to ensure that there is no air leakage. You can gently press the vacuum bag mouth with your hand. If you do not feel air leakage, the seal is good.
